Aztecs Through One Round at Stanford Intercollegiate

The San Diego State women’s golf team finished the first round at the Stanford Intercollegiate Friday. The Aztecs were led by Stephanie Barbaglia’s four-over-par 75.

STANFORD, Calif. – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished the first round at the Stanford Intercollegiate Friday. The Aztecs were led by Stephanie Barbaglia’s four-over-par 75.

As a team, SDSU shot a 20-over-par 304 and are in 18th place.

Barbaglia was hampered by a double-bogey and triple bogey on the ninth and 18th hole. Outside of those two holes, she was one-under-par.

Kylie Phi and Ema Narita both shot a five-over-par 76. Phi had a team-high 14 pars while Narita tied for the team lead with two birdies.

Emma Delwes also had two birdies in her round of 77 (+6).

Emilia Omander, who was making her collegiate debut, finished outside of the scoring with an 85 (+14).

After one round, the host school Stanford is in the lead after shooting an 11-under-par 273. Their Megha Ganne is the individual leader with a five-under-par 66.
