SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State football team boasts 14 former players on NFL rosters, which were finalized in the recent weeks.
This list includes nine players on active rosters and one on injured reserve. An additional four players are also on practice squads throughout the league.
Matt Ariaza (2019-21) and Cameron Thomas (2019-21) are reunited on the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs’ 53-man roster while Aaron Brewer (2008-11) and Darren Hall (2018-20) are paired up on Arizona’s roster. Segun Olubi (2020-21) is with Indianapolis, Zachary Thomas (2017-21) is with New England, Daniel Bellinger (2018-21) is with New York (Giants), Damontae Kazee (2013-16) is with Pittsburgh and Daniel Brunskill (2013-16) is with Tennessee.
Patrick McMorris (2020-22) is on the injured list with Miami to start the season.
The four former Aztecs on practice squads include Keith Ismael (2017-19) with Arizona, Jesse Matthews (2019-22) with Atlanta, Tyrell Shavers (2021-22) with Buffalo and Alex Barrett (2013-16) with San Francisco.
