SAN DIEGO –  The Mountain West and San Diego State have released their conference schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Aztecs, who were Mountain West Tournament runners-up last season, will play 18 games, facing every school home and away except for Boise State (home only) and Air Force (road only).

San Diego State begins their conference slate Dec. 29 when they host Boise State, who they beat in the Mountain West semifinals a year ago. The Aztecs are 14-14 all-time against the Broncos and have beaten them by double-digits in each of their last three home games.

The Aztecs’ first conference road game will be on New Year's Day when they play at Colorado State. SDSU split their two games with the Rams last year which included a dramatic 74-71 overtime win at home in the conference opener.

SDSU then hosts New Mexico Jan. 4. The Aztecs upset the second-seeded Lobos in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Tournament a year ago and have won three of their last four meetings.

The Aztecs then embark on a two-game road trip to Nevada (Jan. 8) and Wyoming (Jan. 11). SDSU lost their lone meeting with the Wolf Pack last year 72-71 and split their series with the Cowgirls.

SDSU then plays Colorado State for the second time when they host the Rams Jan. 15. The Aztecs are 34-33 all-time vs. CSU.

Next is a trip to Utah State Jan. 18 who SDSU has beaten six straight times.

The Aztecs then host San Jose State Jan. 22, another school they have won the last six straight meetings against, including in the first round of last year’s Mountain West Tournament.

SDSU will then host UNLV, the reigning conference champions, who beat the Aztecs in last year’s Mountain West Championship game.

After SDSU’s first bye of the season, they will play two straight road games. First at New Mexico (Feb. 1) and then at Fresno State (Feb. 5). The Aztecs have beaten Fresno State in each of their last four meetings.

Three of the next four games will be at home, beginning with Wyoming Feb. 8. The Aztecs beat Wyoming 58-55 in the regular season finale last year.

After a trip to UNLV (Feb. 12), the Aztecs will return home to host Utah State (Feb. 15) and Nevada (Feb. 19.)

SDSU’s last two road games will be at San Jose State (Feb. 22) and at Air Force (Feb. 26), their lone meeting with the Falcons.

The Aztecs will have their final bye the weekend before the Mountain West Tournament, and they close out the regular season at home against Fresno State March 4.

San Diego State returns all eligible players from last season including all-conference forwards Adryana Quezada and Kim Villalobos. The Aztecs have six newcomers, which includes four freshmen and impact transfers Veronica Sheffey (San Diego) and Cali Clark (Colorado State). They also will have Erin Houpt and Trinity Zamora, who missed all last year with injury.
