San Diego State women’s tennis completed day three of the USTA Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday at the University of San Diego’s Hogan Tennis Center.

SAN DIEGO – San Diego State women’s tennis completed day three of the USTA Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday with Jo-Yee Chan and Ninon Martinache making their appearance in the doubles semifinal at the University of San Diego’s Hogan Tennis Center.

After a first round bye, junior transfers Chan and Martinache put up an impressive performance in the doubles quarterfinal round, beating ASU’s Karsyn Evans and Ada Piestrzynska 6-3.

In Saturday’s semifinal, the pair faced off against Emma Kamper and Sara Akid of Utah, but they couldn’t hang on, dropping the match 6-2.

The Aztecs will be back in action with consolation matches on Sunday.
