SAN DIEGO – San Diego State women's golf head coach Lauren Dobashi has announced the signing of Kylie Phi out of Fountain Valley High School (Calif.).

"We are thrilled to welcome Kylie to the San Diego State family," Dobashi said. "Kylie is fun, eager, and full of positive energy. Her determination and remarkable work ethic are invaluable assets that will undoubtedly elevate our team."

The reigning Sunset Conference MVP, Phi has qualified for the CIF Southern Section Championship each of the past three years.

During her prep career, Phi won nine tournaments, including four in a month span in August of 2021. In the last 12 months, she has had four top-10 finishes on the Toyota Tour Championship, including a third-place finish at Terra Lago in March. She also had a top-10 finish at the Open at Copper Valley last July.

Phi is an honor roll student that has made the Sunset Conference All-Academic Team all four years. She plans to major in mechanical engineering at SDSU.

Phi is one of four newcomers coming to SDSU next season, joining Arizona graduate transfer Maya Benita and fellow incoming freshmen Emma Delwes and Emilia Omander.
