SAN DIEGO -- Cali Decker's sacrifice fly in bottom of the fifth inning scored Lala Macario to give San Diego State a 3-2 victory over Boise State Saturday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium. It was the eighth consecutive win for the Aztecs (23-13), who remain in sole possession of first place in the Mountain West standings at 10-2.

After the Broncos (24-16, 4-5 MW) tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fourth inning on a two-run double by Hollie Farmer, Macario led off the fifth with an infield single. She then stole second, advanced to third on a Mac Barbara flyout and scored on Decker's deep flyout in foul territory down the left-field line.

Cece Cellura, who replaced starting pitcher Allie Light in the sixth, retired BS in order in the seventh to secure the SDSU victory.

San Diego State jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first as Barbara knocked in Macario with a single and scored on a Decker double.

Following the two-run double in the fourth, Light (9-7) and Cellura shut Boise State down the rest of the way, retiring the final 11 batters they faced. Light picked up the win, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over five innings, striking out two. Cellura pitched a perfect two innings of relief for her third save of the season.

Macario was 2-for-2 with two runs, a walk and a stolen base for the Aztecs, who outhit the Broncos, 7-4.
