LA JOLLA, Calif. – San Diego State had a tremendous day two of the Triton Invitational picking up four event victories and three record book altering marks on Saturday at UC San Diego.

Hannah Waller led the way with victories in the 100m and long jump as an individual along with running a leg on the race-winning relay team. Along with her three wins, she etched her name into the record books in both of her individual events. The junior topped the field in the 100m dash with a time of 11.38 seconds, the third fastest time in program history. She then dominated long jump, winning by nearly 10 full inches with a jump of 6.17m (20-3) for the seventh best mark in SDSU history.

Waller started her day as the opening leg of the 4x100m relay, followed by Aji Mbye, Shaquena Foote and Jada Moore. The quartet crossed the line in 44.81 seconds on their way to victory in the first track event of the day.

Mbye also made history on Saturday in her own individual events. In the 100m dash, her time of 11.42 was good for second place behind Waller and ranks as the fifth fastest time in program history as well as the fastest by any Aztec freshman. The previous freshman record was held by current teammate, Jada Moore, set during her 2021 campaign. The native of The Gambia capped off her tremendous day with a victory in the 200m, running a 23.55 despite the wind-grade of minus-2.2 working against her.

The 100m hurdle duo of Charlize James and Jada Pierre finished as the top two collegiate finishers, respectively. James ran a season best 13.51 to finish fourth overall while Pierre's 13.63 is a personal best and placed her fifth.

Olivia Hicks (24.57, 200m), Lidia Major (55.17, 400m), Foote (2:14.01, 800m) and Maddy Parrone (5:04.16, 1500m) also all recorded personal bests on the track on Saturday.

Out in the field events, the pole vault trio of Lily Mulligan, Kayla Tassara and Sydney Ash each set personal bests in the outdoor season after their event was a scratch on Friday. Mulligan finished fourth overall with a clearance of 3.79m (12-5.25) while Tassara was 11th at 3.64m (11-11.25) and Ash was 18th at 3.34m (10-11.5).

Jenna Fee Feyerabend also saw a pair of season best marks in the shot put (44-2.5) and high jump (5-5.75) after competing in javelin on Friday.
