WALNUT, Calif. – San Diego State closed out the Mt. SAC Relays with five entries in Saturday's elite events. Three of them had program top ten marks set throughout the day.

The day started with the 4x100m relay race just after the clock struck noon. Hannah Waller, Shaquena Foote, Jada Moore, and Aji Mbye ran the Aztecs' best race of the season finishing in 43.79 seconds. The time ranks fourth fastest in program history and fastest since the 2018 season. The team finished seventh overall in the field.

Foote was quickly back on the track for her first 400m race of the outdoor season. Crossing the line in 52.14 seconds, she improves on her fourth ranked mark in the program record book and sets an SDSU sophomore class record, which had been untouched since 2002.

The only field athlete of the day, Xiamara Young, was responsible for the third record book-changing mark. Competing in her first triple jump of the outdoor season, she jumped 12.68m (41-7.25) for an eighth-place finish. While the mark is just shy of her PR set at Fresno Pacific, it ranks tied for eighth all-time at San Diego State.

After the relay, Waller was back on the track for the 100m dash where she finished 10th at 11.43 seconds. Charlize James also competed on Saturday, finishing 12th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.49 seconds.

The Aztecs have one more weekend of meets before the Mountain West Championships. Next week, they are scheduled to have athletes compete at Arizona, BYU, and UC Irvine.
