SAN DIEGO – San Diego State had two student-athletes see competition on day two of the Mt. SAC Relays as Jenna Fee Feyerabend finished the heptathlon and Thaila Wilson competed in javelin.
 
Feyerabend entered the day 14th in the heptathlon standings with 3,406 points but quickly climbed the leaderboards.
 
Starting the day in long jump, she posted her third season best mark of the meet with a jump of 5.79m (19-0). She finished tied for 10th and earned 786 points. Next up was the javelin throw where the junior had her best event finish of the heptathlon, claiming sixth with a throw of 43.06m (141-3) and 726 points.
 
Her final event of the heptathlon was the 200m. Crossing the line in 2:19.36, the Germany native ran a personal best to finish seventh and add 832 points to her total score.
 
With all seven events completed, Feyerabend had a total score of 5,750 points just two shy of her career best set at last year's Mountain West Championships. She would finish ninth overall in the elite field and fifth among collegiate competitors. It also puts her in a great spot for NCAA Championship qualifying marks as her point total ranks 11th best in the nation.
 
The only other Aztec in action on Thursday was Thaila Wilson in the collegiate section of the javelin throw. Her best throw came on her third attempt, going 36.59m (120-0) for a 14th place finish.
 
San Diego State will be busy on day three of the Mt. SAC Relays will 15 athletes scheduled to compete on Friday. The first event featuring the Scarlet and Black is the pole vault at 10 a.m.
