SAN DIEGO – Adryana Quezada and Kim Villalobos, the starting forwards and top two scorers for the San Diego State women's basketball team, have announced they will return for the 2024-25, utilizing their extra year of eligibility offered by the NCAA due to COVID-19.
Quezada (Frisco, Texas) leads the Aztecs in scoring, averaging 14.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting a career-best 54 percent from the floor. She is one of just six players in the nation to have at least 1,200 points, 600 rebounds and 100 assists in their career while averaging at least 14.0 points per game and shooting at least 52% from the field.
This will be Quezada's sixth year in college. She played her first two years at UT San Antonio, her junior year at Utah State and has been at San Diego State the last two years (redshirting in 2022-23).
Villalobos (Los Angeles) has started every game for SDSU over the last two years. This year she is averaging 10.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. She leads the Aztecs in double-doubles, steals and blocks and is the only player in the Mountain West to be in the top 10 in rebounding, steals and blocks. She has over 900 points and 600 rebounds in her career.
The Aztecs begin play in the Mountain West Tournament Sunday, taking on San Jose State at 4:30 p.m.
