SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women's basketball team (19-12, 10-8) rallied to beat Wyoming (17-12, 11-7) 58-55 inside Viejas Arena Tuesday evening. The Aztecs trailed by 11 points with 6:59 remaining and then finished the game on a 19-5 run.

"I'm excited for the girls," Head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson said after the game. "We had an intense film session and a great practice and reminded ourselves who we are, and we played a very good defensive game. That was our best defensive effort of the season."

Kim Villalobos had a career-high 24 points, which included 20 in the second half and 17 in the fourth quarter.
Adryana Quezada finished with 11 points and nine rebounds and Jada Lewis had 10 points.

The Aztecs didn't hold a lead until there was 3:13 left in the game. Wyoming was efficient from the floor, but the Aztecs were also to keep it close by forcing turnovers.

SDSU trailed by seven at the half and was able to cut it to two points early in the third quarter only to see the Cowgirls push the lead back to 11.

An Aztec 13-0 fourth quarter run, fueled by Villalobos and forcing four turnovers in a three-minute stretch, helped SDSU grab their first lead.

The Cowgirls were led by Allyson Fertig's 19 points and 10 rebounds.
