CLAREMONT, Calif. – No. 25 San Diego State water polo took its opening game of the second day at The Convergence, 15-10 over Biola, but couldn't carry that momentum into its final game of the weekend, a 20-8 loss to No. 7 UC Irvine.

San Diego State is 10-7 following the weekend and its 10 wins after 17 games are the most for the program since it recorded 11 in the first 17 games of the 2014 season.
