SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State continues Mountain West play with a weekend series at Fresno State. The Aztecs (15-12, 2-1 MW) will play the Bulldogs (18-8 entering a Wednesday game against Pacific, 1-2 MW) at 6 p.m. PT Friday, 2 p.m. PT Saturday and noon PT Sunday.

Out of the Aztecs' 24 non-conference games this season, 17 have come against teams that made the 2023 NCAA tournament (SDSU is 7-10 in those games), including three against Women's College World Series programs, and nine have been against nationally ranked squads (San Diego State is 2-7).

Macey Keester continues to lead the Aztecs with a .365 average, going 23-for-63 with 11 runs and five stolen bases. UCF transfer Lala Macario is batting .3111 (23-for-74) with a team-leading 23 runs and 11 stolen  bases, while reaching base safely at a .416 clip. Mac Barbara, the MW preseason player of the year, is hitting .303 with team bests of six home runs, 27 RBIs, 17 walks, .591 slugging percentage and a .435 on-base percentage.

The Aztec pitching staff has continued to produce, combining for a 2.54 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 182 innings against just 28 walks. Freshman Cece Cellura has come on strong in her first season on The Mesa, posting a 4-1 record with a team-low 2.08 ERA in 60 2/3 innings, striking out 27 against four walks. Defending MW Pitcher of the Year and the preseason pitcher of the year Allie Light is 6-7 with a 2.93 ERA in 67 innings, striking out 37 with 15 walks. Dee Dee Hernandez (4-2, 1 SV, 2.38 ERA, 32.1 IP) and Cassidy West (1-2, 2 SV, 2.86 ERA, 22.0 IP) have also logged innings for SDSU.

All three games this weekend will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
