SAN DIEGO – San Diego State's Alex Roberts and Christiana Williams have their sights set on postseason glory this week when they compete in the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, March 20-23, at Jack Bauerle Pool inside Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Georgia.

Roberts is scheduled to swim in the 100 and 200 backstroke, as well as the 100 butterfly, while Williams is slated to participate in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. The Aztec teammates are making their second straight appearances in the NCAA Championships.

All meet information, including schedules, heat sheets/results, streaming links, parking and fan policies, can be found on the 2024 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Central page with a link available on GoAztecs.com.

Every session of the meet will be streamed on ESPN+, and fans can also follow along with live results online or by using the Meet Mobile app.

Preliminaries will begin each morning at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT), with the finals set to get underway at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT). The NCAA Championships will actually commence on Wednesday, March 20 with the finals of the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT). However, Roberts and Williams will be swimming in their respective events over the final two days of the meet (Friday-Saturday).

A native of Visalia, California, Roberts won a gold medal in the 200 back at the Mountain West Championships with a season-best time of 1:52.92, missing her own school and conference record by just .04 seconds. With her performance, the SDSU senior earned a No. 17 seed entering the national meet.

Additionally, Roberts was slotted 22nd on the NCAA Championships psych sheet for the 100 back as of March 15 after claiming a silver medal at the conference meet with a career-fast swim of 51.95, which ranks second in school history.

Not to be outdone, Roberts also took home a silver medal in the 100 fly at the MW Championships with a career-best time of 52.96, which ranks fourth on the program's all-time charts. That effort netted her a No. 60 seed in the event heading into nationals.

Meanwhile, Williams qualified for the NCAA meet in the 200 breaststroke after claiming a gold medal at the Mountain West Championships with a season-fast swim of 2:09.19, which ranks 30th in the nation.

A native of Tucson, Arizona, Williams was also invited to compete in the 100 breaststroke on the strength of her NCAA "B" Cut times during the season. The SDSU senior enters the competition with a No. 39 seed after posting a career-fast time of 59.91 in a home dual-meet victory over the University of San Diego on Jan. 26, which ranks fourth in school history.

In addition, Williams secured a bronze medal in the same event at the conference meet after finishing the race at 1:00.20.

SDSU is in the midst of another highly successful season after capturing its third consecutive Mountain West championship last month in Houston, Texas. The Aztecs claimed seven individual gold medals and won four of five relay events, totaling 1,487.50 team points en route to their fifth MW title in the last six years and eighth since 2011.

San Diego State posted a 15-0 record in dual-meet competition during the 2023-24 campaign, extending its winning streak to 65 in that category with a home victory over the San Diego Toreros on Jan. 26. The Aztecs have not lost a dual meet since Jan. 8, 2018, a span of over six years.
