FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Aztec women's basketball team (14-9, 5-5) lost at Colorado State (14-7, 5-5) 82-50 Saturday afternoon.
Playing without starting point guard Abby Prohaska, SDSU struggled with turnovers, especially early in the game, and found themselves down double-digits early in the game and never recovered.
Adryana Quezada led the Aztecs with 11 points and seven rebounds. She has scored in double-digits in 20 of SDSU's 23 games.
The Aztecs made just one of their first 14 shots and were held to three points in the first quarter. SDSU responded with an 18-point second quarter but still trailed by double-digits at the half.
SDSU played better offensively in the second half, but couldn't slow down Colorado State.
McKenna Hofschild led the Rams with 34 points and 10 assists.
