SAN DIEGO – San Diego State track and field had eight student-athletes earn all-Mountain West honors for their performances at the MW Indoor Championships this past weekend. The conference office announced the full list of recipients on Tuesday afternoon.

Hannah Waller, the MW Women's Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet, earned honors in three events over the weekend. She won gold in the 60m dash and silver in the 200m dash, running the second-fastest time in SDSU history in both events. She also claimed silver as part of the 4x400m relay team which posted the third-fastest time in program history.

Similarly, Shaquena Foote was all-conference in three events: 200m, 400m, and 4x400m relay. She won the 400m gold breaking her own school record for the third time this indoor season and claimed the bronze in the 200m with the third best mark in program history. She ended her weekend as the anchor leg on the silver medal-winning 4x400m relay team.

The trio of honors for both Waller and Foote are the first time an Aztec has claimed all-MW in three events since Danae Dyer did so at the 2020 Mountain West Championships.

Rhea Hoyte and Lidia Major ran the other two legs of the 4x400m relay alongside Waller and Foote. For Hoyte, she has earned all-conference thrice in her career, all for the 4x400m relay. A true freshman, Major earns the conference award in her first career MW Championship meet.

Jada Pierre ran an 8.42 in both the prelims and the finals on her way to a silver medal in the 60m hurdles. Aji Mbye was the final track athlete to earn all-MW, finishing third in the 60m dash. Both are all-conference performers in their first Mountain West Championship meets.

In the field events, two Aztecs received the conference award for their silver medal finishes. Ashley Callahan earned her third career honor as the runner-up in pole vault while Xiamara Young's career day gave her the first all-conference honor of her young career.

San Diego State had a massive day three at the Mountain West Indoor Championships to take home second place in the team standings with 103 total points.
