SAN DIEGO – Looking to bounce back from a loss at Nevada on Feb. 9, San Diego State is at home at Viejas Arena to take on Colorado State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT with the contest being broadcast on CBS Sports Network.

the Aztecs and Rams are meeting for the 96th time, with SDSU sitting on a 51-44 advantage in the all-time series. In the Mountain West era, SDSU has a 39-17 lead in the series, and at Viejas Arena is 20-4 against Colorado State.  
 
San Diego State lost 71-79 at Colorado State on Jan. 30 and has only been swept in a regular-season series against the Rams once since the start of the 2007-08 season. In the 2016-17 campaign, CSU won both its regular season games against the Aztecs (78-77 in Viejas on Jan. 28, 2017 & 56-55 at Moby on Feb. 25, 2017.
 
In its last 29 games immediately following a loss, the Aztecs are 26-3. In situations where a loss is followed immediately by a home contest, San Diego State has won 33 consecutive games.
 
San Diego State owns a 126-29 record (81.3 percent) since the start of the 2019-20 campaign. That is the third best record in the nation trailing only Gonzaga (139-19, 88.0 percent) and Houston (137-25, 84.6 percent).
 
Once again San Diego State is one of the elite teams when it comes to challenging itself. According to Kenpom, the Aztecs have the No. 11 strength of schedule rating, including the No. 9 rated non-conference schedule. SDSU has faced the No. 11 rated schedule in opponents adjusted offensive efficiency and the No. 20 rated schedule in opponents adjusted defensive efficiency.
 
Since the start of the 2013-14 season, when the current slate of MW members was finalized, SDSU has an 85-11 (.885) record in Mountain West HOME games, the best mark in the conference. Boise State has the second-best record 76-20 (.792).

Boise State has the second-best record 48-47 (.505). Colorado State is 39-54 (.419) which is the sixth-best record in Mountain West road contests since the start of 2013-14.
 
The Aztecs are among the elite programs in the country and that includes winning on their opponent's floor. Since the beginning of the 2009-10 campaign, SDSU has the seventh best road record in the nation, 105-65 (61.8 percent).
 
Since the start of the 2019-20 campaign, SDSU has lost just 15 times in 49 road games (34-15, 69.4 percent), which are the FOURTH fewest road losses in the nation trailing only Gonzaga (6 losses), Saint Mary's (12 losses) and Baylor (13 losses) and its 69.4 winning percentage in road games in that time frame is the THIRD best in the nation trailing only Gonzaga (33-6, 84.6 percent) with one of the Zags' six losses coming at the hands of the Aztecs, 84-74 on Dec. 29, 2023, and Saint Mary's (28-12, 70.0 percent).
 
The Aztecs metrics rank among the best in the nation. Through the games of February 10, the Aztecs were ranked No. 19 in the NET, No. 20 in Kenpom, No. 26 in T-Rank, No. 20 in KPI and No. 37 in BPI. San Diego State's NET strength of record is No. 14.
 
San Diego State enters the Colorado State game with a 7-6 record in Quad 1 & 2 games this season, including a 3-6 record in Quad 1 games. Its six losses have been on the road at some of the toughest venues to play in for an opposing team. The Aztecs lost at Brigham Young (65-74) in front of its second largest crowd of the season, at Grand Canyon (73-79) in front of its largest crowd, at New Mexico (70-88) in front of the largest crowd it has had since the 2009 season, at Boise State (66-67) in front to its second biggest home crowd this year, at Colorado State (71-79) in front of its largest home crowd of the year and at Nevada (66-70 in overtime) in front of its largest home crowd of the season.
 
Senior Jaedon LeDee surpassed the 1,000-career point milestone at Colorado State (Jan. 30) and enters tonight's game with 1,061 points, 769 of which have come in 62 games with the Aztecs while in his first 79 games at both Ohio State and TCU he totaled 292 points.
 
San Diego State, which won both the 2022-23 Mountain West regular season and tournament titles and reached the league tournament championship game for the sixth time in head coach Brian Dutcher's six seasons, looks for its unprecedented 17th Mountain West men's basketball title. Entering the 2023-24 season, San Diego State has won nine regular season and seven Mountain West tournament titles.
 
After shooting a season-best 72.7 percent (8-of-11) from the bonus distance at Air Force (2-6-24), SDSU was a season-worst 15.8 percent 3-of-19 from beyond the arc at Nevada (2-9-24). It is the eighth time since the start of the 2009-10 season, the Aztecs, in a minimum of 19 attempts, have shot 15.8 percent or less in a Mountain West game.
 
At Nevada, senior forward Jaedon LeDee scored in double figures for the 23rd time in as many appearances this season and the 12th time he has scored at least 20 points in the 2023-24 campaign. He led the team in scoring for the 16th time this season, but the Aztecs lost for the first time this season (7-1) when he goes to the line at least 10 times (12-of-14 from the free throw line at Nevada).
 
Senior guard Darrion Trammell, at Nevada, scored at least 10 points for the ninth time this year, all in the last 15 games, and for the 79 time in his collegiate career. In addition, he led the team in assists for the eighth time in 2023-24 & 75th time as a Division I player.
 
Micah Parrish, a senior wing, grabbed 10 rebounds at Nevada, reaching double figure boards for the second time this season and seventh time in his college career. In addition, he led the team in assists for the fourth time in 2023-24 and eighth time as a collegiate player.
 
Brian Dutcher is in his seventh season as San Diego State's head coach and his 25th season on the Aztec sidelines. In his six-plus seasons as head coach, he has led the Aztecs to five conference titles, six Mountain West championship game appearances, a 169-53 (.761) overall record, the 2023 NCAA national championship game, has been named the national coach of the year, and twice the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year.
