SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's basketball team hosts San Jose State Saturday at 3 p.m.
 
Aztec Tidbits
• The game will be broadcast on FS1, SDSU's second game on national television in the last two weeks. Prior to that, the Aztecs' last nationally broadcast home game was February 17, 2013.
• At halftime, the Aztecs will celebrate their all-time leading scorer and rebounder Judy Porter (Wonders) who had her jersey hung from the rafters at the men's game Wednesday evening.
• The Aztecs had a season-high 10 blocks vs. UNLV Wednesday.
• SDSU is committing just 12.2 turnovers per game, the 12th fewest in the nation.
• The Aztecs are averaging 39.8 rebounds per game in conference play despite not having a player taller than 6'.
• SDSU has four players averaging at least 10 points per game: Adryana Quezada (14.7), Abby Prohaska (11.4), Kim Villalobos (10.7) and Jada Lewis (10.7).
• The Aztecs have had seven different players score in double-digits this year.
• SDSU's starting lineup features two sixth year seniors (Barcello and Prohaska), two fifth year seniors (Lewis and Quezada) and a fourth-year senior (Villalobos). This is believed to be the most experienced starting five in the nation.
Kim Villalobos had 15 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high four blocks against No. 25/23 UNLV Wednesday, her fourth double-double in the last five games.
• Villalobos is one of three players in the nation with at least four double-doubles in 2024 while also averaging at least one steal per game.
• Villalobos leads in the conference with 10.2 rebounds per game in Mountain West play. She is leading the Aztecs in scoring in conference games (13.0 ppg).
Adryana Quezada is one of five players in the nation to have at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 100 assists in their career while averaging at least 14.0 points per game and shooting at least 52% from the field.
 • Quezada is fourth in the Mountain West in field goal percentage (55.0%).
Abby Prohaska leads the conference and is 24th in the nation with a free throw percentage of 89.3%.
• Over the last two seasons, the Aztecs are 21-7 at home and 19-7 in non-conference games.
• SDSU won at least nine non-conference games for the second season in a row. It's the first time they've done that in back-to-back seasons since 2011-12 and 2012-13.
• SDSU has gone to overtime four times this season, tied for the most in program history. They didn't go to OT once last season.
• All four of SDSU's 2024 recruits were nominated for the McDonald's All-American game: guards Kaelyn Hamilton (McKinney, Texas), Natalia Martinez (San Leandro, Calif.) and Naomi Panganiban (La Jolla, Calif.) and forward Bailey Barnhard (San Diego).
 
Player Notes
Kim Villalobos (Los Angeles), SDSU's starting forward, leads the Aztecs in assists, blocks and steals.
• Villalobos is averaging 13.5 points and 10.2 rebounds in conference play.
• Villalobos has eight career double-doubles and four of them have come in the last five games.
• Villalobos stuffed the stat sheet vs. Westcliff earlier this year and became just the second Aztec in the Mountain West era (1999-present) to have at least 15 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists in a game, joining SDSU Hall of Famer Jené Morris.
Adryana Quezada (Frisco, Texas) is shooting a career-high 55.0% from the floor, which is fourth in the Mountain West.
• She has scored in double-digits in all but three games.
• Against Penn, she became the first Aztec since 2020, and just seventh in the Mountain West era, to have at least 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists in a game. Out of those seven, Quezada accomplished the feat in the fewest number of minutes.
Jada Lewis (Rocklin, Calif.) is 71-for-82 (86.6%) from the free throw line in her career.
• Lewis is third in the Mountain West in minutes per game (34.1).
• On Wednesday, Lewis surpassed 1,100 points and 100 steals for her career. She is three rebounds short of 400 rebounds.
• Quezada also went over 1,100 career points Wednesday.
Abby Prohaska (Liberty Township, Ohio) leads the Mountain West and is 24th in the nation in free throw percentage (89.3%) this season. She has shot 86.2% from the line in her career (144-167) and 88.4% (99-111) while at SDSU.
• Prohaska is averaging career-highs in minutes, points, rebounds, assists and three-point percentage.
Sarah Barcello (Phoenix, Ariz.) tied a career-high with three blocks vs. UNLV Wednesday.
• Barcello is averaging career-highs in minutes per game (31.5) and field goal percentage (.458) and her three-point percentage of 34.4% is her best since her freshman year at Marist (41% in 2018-19).
Jazlen Green (Upland, Calif.) joined the Aztecs after the semester break. She averaged 9.1 points and made 97 threes in 51 games at Cal.
 
Opponent Notebook (San Jose State)
• The Spartans are 6-11 overall and 1-4 in conference.
• They have lost three in a row and five of their last six games.
• They are 3-6 on the road.
• They force 18.7 turnovers per game, but have turnover margin of -0.65 per game
• They are last in the conference in rebounding (32.8 rpg).
• Jyah LoVett averages 15.2 points and 2.5 steals per game.
• Amhiya Moreland shoots 61.2% from the field, which leads the Mountain West.
• Head coach April Phillips is in her second season at SJSU.
• The Aztecs lead the all-time series 26-10.
• SDSU is 15-2 against SJSU at home.
• The Aztecs' win percentage of 72.2% against the Spartans is their best against any Mountain West school.
• SDSU has won the last three meetings and six of the last eight.
