SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State baseball team has announced that its midweek game against CSUN, originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, at Matador Field in Northridge, California, has been canceled. The contest will not be made up.

The Aztecs (18-22, 12-7 MW), who took over the top spot in the Mountain West with a recent series victory over UNLV at home, will return to action this weekend when they travel to the Bay Area for five encounters against second-place San José State (20-20, 13-9 MW), May 5-7.

Beginning at 4:05 p.m. PT on Friday, the Aztecs and Spartans will square off for a pair of games at Evans Diamond on the University of California campus in Berkeley. The two teams will complete an earlier contest suspended by rain after three innings in San Diego on March 10, with SJSU holding a 2-0 lead, to be followed immediately by another make-up game at SDSU from March 11.

On Saturday, San Diego State will engage the Spartans in a doubleheader at Stanford University's Klein Field at Sunken Diamond, starting at 1:05 p.m. PT, before returning to Berkeley on Sunday for a single game, beginning at 12:35 p.m.
