COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former San Diego State standouts Johnna Fouch and Deja Harris were named to the Mountain West's 25th season volleyball team, as announced Tuesday by the league office.

A two-time Mountain West Setter of the Year and all-conference selection (2011-2012), Fouch received AVCA All-America honorable mention as a junior in 2012 after helping the Aztecs capture their lone MW championship to date and secure a berth in the NCAA Tournament. She also garnered first-team AVCA All-West Region accolades that same season after meriting All-West Region honorable mention in 2011.

A four-year letterwinner at San Diego State (2010-13), Fouch occupied the fourth spot on the Mountain West career list with 2,597 assists in conference matches and ranked seventh with 4,617 helpers overall entering the 2023 season. The Redlands, California, native was also tied for seventh in league history with 44 career double-doubles and ranked 50th with 1,055 digs overall.

In addition, Fouch's career assist and dig totals rank second and ninth in SDSU program history, respectively. Following her junior campaign, she represented the Aztecs on the Mountain West All-Star team that captured a bronze medal at the 2013 European Global Challenge.

Fouch received her bachelor's degree in communication from San Diego State in 2014 before earning her master's of science in sport administration at Eastern Kentucky in 2016.

Since 2019, Fouch (now Bazzani) has served as the head volleyball coach at EKU following a four-year stint with the Colonels program as an assistant coach from 2015-18.

Harris, meanwhile, is one of just nine volleyball players in to receive all-Mountain West recognition on four occasions and is the lone Aztec to accomplish the feat (2015-18).

A former middle blocker with the Scarlet and Black, Harris is also one of only four competitors in league history to record 1,250 career kills and 550 career blocks, ranking 11th with 561 blocks and 22nd with 1,306 kills entering the 2023 campaign. Additionally, she was tied for the third-best single-match hitting percentage in the MW (min. 10 kills) with a .909 clip vs. Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 17, 2016 (10-0-11) and was slotted 17th in the conference with 1,674 career points.

In 2017, Harris tied for the Mountain West lead with 133 block assists before topping the conference the following year with 25 solo blocks while contributing 147 block assists, the latter of which ranks fifth on SDSU's single-season charts.

After receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology from San Diego State in 2019, Harris played professionally overseas in Halmstad, Sweden and in the A1 League in Caserta, Italy. She was also a member of the 2018 USA Collegiate national team and competed as a middle blocker for the Women's College national team that same year.

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Harris is in her first season as an assistant coach with the UNLV volleyball program.
