HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The Aztec women's golf team finished the second round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate Saturday at the University of Denver Golf Course. SDSU was led by Stephanie Barbaglia, who tied a career-best with a two-under-par 70 Saturday.
Barbaglia had just one bogey on the day to go with her 14 pars and three birdies.
Emma Narita, who has led the Aztecs in each of their first two tournaments, was an even par through her first 12 holes. Through two rounds, she is just one stroke behind Barbaglia for the SDSU lead.
Anna Lina Otten has carded a 74 in each of her first two rounds. On Saturday she had 14 pars to go with one birdie and three bogeys.
Andrea Gomez shot a 76 Saturday. She had a team-high four birdies, including three in her first nine holes, but also had five bogeys and a double-bogey.
Anika Sato finished the day with a 79.
The host school Denver is in the lead through 36 holes after shooting a 550 (-26). Their Anna Zanusso and Emma Bryant are the clubhouse leaders with a 135 (-9).
