HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The Aztec women's golf team finished the first round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate Friday at the University of Denver Golf Course. SDSU was led by Emma Narita who shot an even par 72.
Narita, who has led the Aztecs in each of their first two tournaments, carded 14 pars with two birdies and two bogeys.
Anna Lina Otten carded a 74. She was one under on the front nine with a pair of birdies.
Andrea Gomez finished one stroke behind Ottaen. She had 16 pars including 11 straight to start the day.
Stephanie Barbaglia shot a 76, while Anika Sato finished with a 77. Sato was one-under on the first nine.
The host school Denver is in the lead through 18 holes after shooting a 272 (-16). Their Anna Zanusso and Emma Bryant are the clubhouse leaders with a 66 (-6).
UP NEXT
The Aztecs will play another 18 holes Saturday, before finishing the tournament Sunday.
