BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Aztec women's golf team is in seventh place (out of 19 teams) through one round at The Clash at Boulder Creek after shooting a nine-over-par 297.
Emma Narita led the Aztecs with an even par 72. She had four birdies to offset her four bogeys and is tied for ninth after 18 holes.
Andrea Gomez, Anika Sato and Stephanie Barbaglia all shot a 75 and are tied for 35th. Gomez and Barbaglia each had four birdies, with Gomez having three in a four-hole stretch.
Anna Lina Otten was right behind that trio with a 76.
Long Beach State sits in first after shooting a five-under-par 283 and their Janae Leovao is tied for the individual lead with San Francisco's Riana Mission, who each shot a three-under-par 69.
