SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's golf team is playing in The Clash at Boulder Creek this weekend.  The competition which is hosted by Northern Arizona, is SDSU's final tournament of the fall season.

The Aztecs shot a season-best 886 (+22) in their last tournament, the Ron Moore Intercollegiate.

Golfers will play 18 holes each day Sunday-Tuesday. The 20-team field includes Boise State, Cal State Bakersfield, Fresno State, Idaho, Illinois State, Long Beach State, Montana State, North Dakota, Northern Colorado, SDSU, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UNLV, UTEP, UTRGV and Weber State.
Head coach Lauren Dobashi (3rd season) will use the lineup of Stephanie Barbaglia, Anna Lina Otten, Emma Narita, Andrea Gomez and Anika Sato.

Barbaglia (Johannesburg, South Africa) is coming off the best performance of her young career. She shot a one-over-par 217 and shot a 70 and 71 in her final two rounds. She has finished in the top two among SDSU golfers in every tournament.

Otten (Neuss, Germany) tied a career-low 54-hole score with a 221 at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. She has been incredibly consistent this season, shooting between a 74 and 76 in seven of her nine rounds.

Narita (Tokyo, Japan) was the top Aztec finisher in each of her first two collegiate tournaments and leads SDSU with an 18-hole average of 74.1.

Gomez (Huixquilucan, Mexico) has scored in all nine rounds this season and has a career count percentage of 90.4.

Sato (Utsunomiya, Japan) had the lowest average score among returners. A lingering injury forced her to withdraw from each of SDSU's first two tournaments, but she played all three rounds at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate.

Boulder Creek Golf Club is in Boulder City, Nev. and is par 72 and 6,334 yards. There will be a shotgun start each day, 11:30 a.m. Sunday and then 8 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.

The forecast is for clear skies and warm temperatures.  The high is 90 degrees on Sunday but will be closer to 80 the next two days.
