SAN DIEGO – Tristan Viviani of the Aztec men's soccer team was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Viviani (Redwood City, Calif.) scored SDSU's lone goal in the Aztecs' 1-1 draw against San Diego Saturday evening.
It was the first start and goal of the year for Viviani who missed the first five matches of the season due to injury.
Viviani is the second Aztec to earn the conference's weekly honors this year. Austin Brummett won the award on Sept. 12.
The Aztecs finished non-conference play undefeated for the second time in the last three years. They return to Pac-12 play Friday when they play at UCLA.
