Aztecs Set for SD Veterans Classic

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State men's tennis team will head to the campus of the University of San Diego this weekend to play in the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic. Alexander Mandma and Chikaya Sato will play in the event that starts on Friday, October 13 and goes through Sunday, October 15.
 
Mandma enters coming off a win in his consolation match in the ITA All-American Championships. He beat Kennesaw State's Harvey Conway in three sets on October 1.
 
A native of Tokyo, Japan, Sato also won one of his two matches in the ITA All-American Championships. He took down Tennessee-Chattanooga's Gabriel Castillo-Sanchez to open his fall season and advance to the Round of 128.

After the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic, San Diego State will stay in America's Finest City to compete in the ITA Southwest Regionals. The ITA tournament begins on Thursday, October 19, and runs through Sunday, October 22.
