SAN DIEGO – The Aztecs begin Mountain West Conference play this weekend, hosting Boise State on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The game will be a redout with San Diego State encouraging all fans to wear red.
 
The parking lots at Snapdragon Stadium will open five hours before kickoff at 2:30 p.m. PT.
 
Aztec Village, presented by Snapdragon, opens three hours before kickoff at 4:30 p.m. PT and goes until 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Located on the east side of the stadium, Aztec Village features a beer garden, DJ, big screen TV showing other college football games, a Kids Zone with a face painter and prize wheel, photo ops, and much more.
 
When gates open, the first 1,000 students to enter Snapdragon Stadium will receive a FREE SDSU belt bag.
 
Season ticket holders will be able to pick up their license plate frames at the sales booths in Aztec Village, the southeast corner of the concourse, or behind the San Diego Zoo Club.
 
Along with the redout, Friday's game will also be a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month featuring a performance from SDSU"s Ballet Folklorico in Aztec Village, on-field recognition of students and staff from SDSU's Latinx Resource Center and Latinx student organizations, and food trucks showcasing different Hispanic Heritage menu options.
 
 Friday's game is also the Extra Yard for Teachers Game as well as recognition of the U.S. Coast Guard during the night.
 
Prior to kickoff, the Aztecs will have their Warrior Walk led by football alumnus, Chris Johnson. Johnson lettered at San Diego State from 1990-93, finishing his career 12th in school history with 284 tackles and 12th with 168 solo tackles. Johnson, whose 284 tackles are also the fifth most all-time among the Aztec secondary, had five career interceptions and one touchdown. In 1993, his three interceptions led the team.
