SAN DIEGO -- Former Texas A&M standout Josh Gliege has been named an assistant coach at San Diego State, head coach Ryan Donovan announced on Monday. Gliege comes to the Aztecs after working as an assistant at Wichita State the past two seasons.

In his two years with the Shockers, WS had one tournament win, one runner-up finish and five top-3 outings.

Prior to joining Wichita State, Gliege played four seasons at Texas A&M (2016-2020) and one with Boise State (2020-21). Gliege played in two NCAA regionals, including the 2021 NCAA Albuquerque Regional while at Boise State and the 2019 NCAA Pullman Regional with Texas A&M.

An Eagle, Idaho native, Gliege was a two-time Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar (2019 and 2020), a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection, and a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MW pick in 2021.

Gliege qualified for the 2016 U.S. Amateur, and was a three-time qualifier for both the U.S. Junior Amateur and PGA Junior Championship.

Gliege graduated from Texas A&M in the spring of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business management and earned a MBA in July from Wichita State.
