LARAMIE, Wyo. – San Diego State women's tennis earned their fourth straight win on Friday, taking down No. 61 Colorado State 4-1 at the University of Wyoming Tennis Courts in Laramie, Wyoming. The Aztecs (11-5, 4-1 MW) fell in doubles play, but bounced back quickly in singles play winning on four of six singles courts.

After dropping a tightly contested doubles point to Colorado State (13-5, 2-3 MW), the Aztecs responded immediately in singles play. Arnold then finished her match in straight sets winning her second set 6-1, to even the match at 1-1. Arnold only dropped three total points over the course of singles play. Skrobonja quickly followed with another 6-3 win in her second set on court one, putting the Aztecs up 2-0

Detkovskaya and Melosch were forced to a third set each when they dropped their second sets 6-4 and 7-5 respectively. At the same time Azziz and Velcea were starting their matches at slots No. 5 and 6. Detkovskaya then dropped her third set 6-2, and the Rams tied the match at 2-2. Quickly thereafter Melosch restabled the Aztecs advantage when she won her third set on court four, 6-4, putting the Aztecs up 3-2 with two matches to play.

Meanwhile the final two matches had just gotten started with Azziz and Velcea competing on courts five and six. The two Aztecs split their opening sets, as Azziz earned a 7-5 win, while Velcea dropped her first set 6-3.
