LOGAN, Utah -- San Diego State extended its winning streak to seven games with a 13-0, run-rule victory in six innings in the series opener against Utah State Thursday afternoon at Johnson Field.
 
The Aztecs (23-10, 7-3 MW) were led by Mac Barbara, who homered twice and matched her career high with five RBIs. Barbara also doubled and scored three runs in the game for SDSU, which outhit the Aggies (11-16, 3-4 MW), 11-4, in a game that started with temperatures in the mid-30s.
 
Jillian Celis was 2-for-2 with three RBIs, two runs and a walk, Makena Brocki had two hits and two runs, and Alexis Otero was 1-for-1 with a walk off the bench. Bella Espinoza scored three times with a walk and a stolen base, and Cali Decker scored a pair of runs with a walk.
 
San Diego State scored a run in the second, three in the third, three in the fourth and six in the sixth to mercy USU in front of 127 fans.
 
The offense was plenty for the 1-2 pitching punch of Allie Light and Cassidy West. Light (6-4), who has been named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week each of the last two weeks, tossed four scoreless innings with four hits and one walk allowed, while striking out two. West pitched the final two scoreless innings, yielding one walk, striking out three.
 
THE NOTE
The Aztecs won their 68th consecutive game when scoring at least 10 runs.

SDSU recorded its sixth shutout of the season and first since a 16-0 win over Montana on March 5.

San Diego State's seven-game winning streak is its longest of the season.
