SAN DIEGO – Bernice Olivarez Ilas was named the Mountain West Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
Olivarez Ilas (Ayala Alabang, Philippines) tied for sixth at BYU's Riverside Classic, shooting a two-over-par 218 earlier this week.
She shot an even par 72 in her opening round and then shot 73s in each of the next two rounds.
This is the first Mountain West Golfer of the Week award for the senior.
The Aztecs compete in the Mountain West Championships next week (April 18-20).
