Aztecs Wrap Up Another Day in Houston

HOUSTON -- The San Diego State men's basketball team had its second full day on site at the Final Four in Houston on Friday, participating in another media session and holding an open practice at NRG Stadium.

SDSU student-athletes held their second media session of the weekend and held an open practice at NRG Stadium.

First up for the Aztecs was their second day of media appearances. Head coach Brian Dutcher and the SDSU starters participated in press conferences and breakout sessions, while the rest of the team had open locker room access.

Later on in the day Aztec fans were able get their first view of the Final Four venue NRG Stadium, held at the home of the Houston Texans. In addition to seeing the court and venue for the first time, the fans were able to see the Aztecs practice for the first time in Houston. After the open practice players and coaches stuck around for a team photo, and signed autographs for some fans throughout the arena before heading back to the hotel for some recovery time.

After defeating Alabama, the top-seeded team in the tournament in the Sweet 16, and No. 6-seed Creighton in the Elite 8, San Diego State, the 5-seed and South Region Champion, will face 9-seed Florida Atlantic, the East Region Champions, in the first national semifinal game Saturday at NRG Stadium in Houston.
