Aztecs Tied for 7th Through 18 Holes at Juli Inkster

FAIRFAX, Calif. – The Aztec women's golf team wrapped up the first day at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational Monday. SDSU, who once again battled rain and wind, had play suspended and they weren't able to finish 36 holes.
 
After the first round, SDSU was tied for seventh after shooting a 298 (+10).
 
The Aztecs were led by Anna Lina Otten who shot a 73 (+1), which put her in a tie for 16th.
 
Anika Sato carded a two-over-par 74, tying her for 23rd. Bernice Olivarez Ilas (75, +3) and Andrea Gomez (76, +4) followed.
 
Sammy Lee shot a six-over-par 78.
 
The Aztecs were able to play about 12 holes of the second round before play was called due to darkness.
 
UP NEXT
The Aztecs wrap up the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational Tuesday. Teams begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
