COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State's Jessica Kain was named Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week following her performance on the final day of the Aztec Invitational meet in San Diego, Calif. It is the first weekly MW award for an Aztec in the 2023 outdoor track season.
Jessica Kain placed first in the 1,500 meter run at the Aztec Invitational, setting a personal best time of 4:20.63 and maintaining her spot as fourth best in SDSU Outdoor history.
Her time ranks her as first in the Mountain West and 19th in the NCAA this season.
Kain and the Aztecs will be back in action at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. from Mar. 31-Apr. 1 .
