SAN DIEGO – The No. 25-ranked San Diego State water polo team jumps back into Golden Coast Conference action on Friday with a matchup against the Concordia Golden Eagles at the William Wollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. The game is scheduled to get underway at 12:30 p.m.

About the Aztecs
• San Diego State's record stands at 7-14, and will face an unranked opponent for just the seventh time this season. 
• The Aztecs are paced offensively by freshman Claudia Valdes who leads the team in shots (68), points (51), and steals (30). She is tied with senior Amanda Legaspi with 30 goals and ranks second in assists (21).
• Legaspi leads the squad in ejections drawn (36), is second in shots (66) and points (48) and among players who average at least 2.0 shots per game she leads the team in shot percentage at .455.
• Freshmen Tiaare Ahovelo and Mandy Lagerlof have played all but eight minutes in goal.  Lagerlof is 5-9 in 383:52 minutes. Her GAA is 13.09 with a 44.3 save percentage and she has added three steals and nine assists with a team-high 125 saves. Ahovelo has played 283:08 minutes with a 2-5 record and a goals against average of 11.75 with a 43.5 save percentage. She has stopped 80 shots and has five assists and six steals. 

Inside the Matchup
• In the all-time series, which began in 2011, the Aztecs hold a 10-0 with four of those games being played in the Golden Eagles pool.
• Concordia enters the week with a 13-9 record and having lost its only game last week, 2-15 to No. 6 UC Irvine.
• Concordia is 1-2 in Golden Coast Conference games this year, having won its last league game 14-12 at Azusa Pacific.
• The Aztecs have scored double digit goals in all its games against the Golden Eagles while never allowing more than seven in game.
