Aztecs Complete First Day at NCAA Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – San Diego State's Kristina Murphy competed in the 200 individual medley at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday inside the University of Tennessee's Allan Jones Aquatic Center.

Murphy was the lone swimmer of three Aztec representatives to race on the day, touching the wall at 2:00.23 to finish 57th in the event during the preliminary session.

On Friday, Murphy will swim in the 400 individual medley, while teammates Alex Roberts and Christiana Williams will see their first action at the national meet. Roberts will compete in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, while Williams will race in the 100 breaststroke.

On Saturday, Williams and Murphy will partake in the 200 breaststroke, while Roberts will swim in the 200 backstroke.

ESPN+ will provide broadcast coverage for both days, with preliminaries scheduled to commence at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT, followed by the finals session at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
