NEW ORLEANS – Two Aztecs earned All-American honors for their performances at the NCAA Indoor Championships, the USTFCCCA announced on Monday. Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Simone Johnson garnered second-team All-American recognition.

The pentathlete, Jenna Fee Feyerabend, was named second team All-American. Feyerabend earned that honor by placing in the top 16 at the NCAA Indoor Championships, where she earned a score of 4,263 to place ninth in the event.

Feyerabend previously held the record for best performance in SDSU Indoor history and broke her own record on Friday by 84 points.

Earlier in the season, Feyerabend earned All-Mountain West honors for her performance in the pentathlon and high jump at the MW Indoor Championships in February and garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors for the 2022 season.

As for the triple jump, Simone Johnson represented the Scarlet and Black in Albuquerque.

Johnson also earned USTFCCCA second team All-American status for her result at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Johnson earned the honor after qualifying for Nationals in the event, where she jumped 43-8¾ (13.33m) and came in 14th place.

Johnson previously garnered All-Mountain West honors for her triple jump performance at the MW Indoor Championships and was also placed on the USTFCCCA All-Academic team for her accomplishments in the classroom in 2022.

Student-athletes earn first-team All-American status by virtue of finishing among the top-8 of their events at the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend in Albuquerque, N.M. Second-Team All-America honors went to those student-athletes who finished between ninth and 16th place.
