CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. -- San Diego State softball's Sarah Lehman and Allie Light combined on a two-hitter in a 4-1 win over Brigham Young Friday night at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, California.

Lehman (4-0) pitched the first four innings of the game, giving up one unearned run on two hits and three walks, while striking out six. Light, meanwhile, tossed three perfect innings of relief with four strikeouts to pick up her fourth save of the young season.

The Aztecs (10-3), who like the Cougars (7-5) are receiving votes in both major national polls, took the lead in the top of the first inning when Cali Decker's single up the middle scored Jillian Celis.

BYU answered in the bottom of the first when Hailey Morrow drew a bases loaded walk to score Ailana Agbayani.

With the game still tied in the fourth, SDSU's Macey Keester reached on a leadoff walk, stole second and got to third on a Brigham Young error. AJ Murphy followed with a single up the middle to give San Diego State the lead for good. Celis later singled through the right side to plate Alley Dueker and, after another Cougar error, Alex Bunton for the final run of the game.

The Aztecs outhit BYU, 8-2, and left 10 runners on base. After leaving the bases loaded in the first, Brigham Young only left one runner on the rest of the game.

Decker was 2-for-3 with a RBI and a walk to pace SDSU, while Celis added two hits, an RBI and a run. Bunton, Keester and Murphy also reached base safely twice with a hit and a walk.
