SAN DIEGO – A trio of former Aztecs played in the NBA while another SDSU grad competed in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
 
In the NBA, Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (2010-11) started all four of his team's games this week. On the week, he put up 27.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.0 block per game. He recorded his first double-double of the season with 17 points and a season-high 11 rebounds in Milwaukee on Thursday night. This season Leonard is averaging 22.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.5 blocks. 
 
Forward Jalen McDaniels (2017-19) played in four games for the Charlotte Hornets. On the week, he averaged 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals. His season numbers are 10.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. 
 
Guard Malachi Flynn (2020) appeared in three games for Toronto. He averaged 2.3 points, 1.0 rebound, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals this week. On the season, he is averaging 4.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.1 blocks. 
 
On the PGA Tour, Scott Piercy (1999-2001) did not make the cut in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Xander Schauffele (2013-15) is ranked sixth in the world and 52nd in the FedEx Cup and has won seven PGA Tour events in his career. J.J. Spaun (2009-12) ranks 67th in the world and 36th in the FedEx Cup with one career PGA Tour victory. Piercy ranks 90th in the FedEx Cup with four career PGA Tour wins. Next weekend, all three will compete in the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Phoenix, Arizona Feb. 9-12.
