SEATTLE, Wash. – The Aztec track and field team kicked off their 2023 indoor season at the UW Invitational on Friday.
Friday's noteworthy performance came from both Jada Moore competing in 200m and Simone Johnson in triple jump.
Moore finished first in the 200m dash with a time of 24.46 while Johnson finished first in the triple jump with a performance of 43-08.75 (13.33m), a new personal best and the third best all-time mark in school history.
Four Aztecs, Charlize James, Jenna Fee Feyerabend, Sameerah Evans, and Thalia Wilson, PR'd in the 60m hurdles with respective times of 8.68, 8.70, 8.93, and 9.15.
In the high jump, Jenna Fee Feyerbend placed second with a jump of 5-08.00 (1.73m).
Zoe Brosch came in 6th in the weight throw with a toss of 50-02.50 (15.30m).
In the distance medley, Jessica Kain, Sydney Bentley, Tatum Zinkin, and Nicole Meyer ran a time of 12:00.03, the 2nd best time in SDSU Indoor history.
