COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A day after the Mountain West announced that the San Diego State football team will play its 2022 opener at Snapdragon Stadium on Sept. 3 against Arizona on CBS, the Aztecs received additional kickoff times and television information for the 2022 campaign. SDSU now has 11 of its 12 games on national TV networks with seven of those contests with start times.

In addition to the Sept. 3 Arizona game on CBS at 12:30 p.m. PT, San Diego State will also play four times on CBS Sports Network, including Oct. 8 against Hawai'i (7:30 p.m. PT), Oct. 22 at Nevada (7:30 p.m. PT), Nov. 5 vs. UNLV (4 p.m. PT) and Nov. 26 against Air Force (6 p.m. PT).

The Aztecs will also appear five times on FOX Sports Network, which includes FOX, FS1 or FS2. SDSU currently has Friday road games scheduled for FS1 on Sept. 30 at Boise State (6 p.m. MT) and Nov. 18 at New Mexico (TBA). Other FOX Sports Network games still yet to be determined and without times include Sept. 24 vs. Toledo, Oct. 29 at Fresno State and Nov. 12 vs. San Jose State.

The Pac-12 also announced that San Diego State's game at Pac-12 champion and Rose Bowl participant Utah on Sept. 17 will air on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. MT.

Only an Aztec Sept. 10 home game against Idaho State is not currently on television and a start time is yet to be determined.

Seven of San Diego State's 12 regular-season games in 2022 will be played at Snapdragon Stadium in the program's 100th season of football.

SDSU (12-2) finished with a school-record 12 victories last season, one of only 10 programs with at least 12 wins. Only four teams had more victories than San Diego State, including national champion Georgia, and CFP teams Alabama and Cincinnati. The Aztecs played five teams who reached double-digit victories in 2021, securing wins over Pac-12 Champion/Rose Bowl participant Utah (10-4), UTSA (12-2) and Air Force (10-3).

SDSU, which played all 14 of its games away from its own market, including eight "home games" two hours from campus at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, finished the 2021 season ranked 25th in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll. It was the third time in program history San Diego State made the final AP Top 25 poll (also 1977 (16th) and 2016 (25th)). The Aztecs were also ranked in every CFP poll in 2021.
