SAN DIEGO – The Aztecs (7-1) go for their eighth win in a row on Sunday when they take on the University of San Francisco (6-2) inside the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors.
 
Aztec Tidbits
• SDSU is 7-1 for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
• The Aztecs' seven-game win streak is their longest since the 2012-13 season (17 games).
• SDSU is coming off a 72-60 win at UC San Diego Thursday evening.
• In that game, SDSU didn't hold a lead until 7:49, but scored a season-high 26 points in the final quarter and finished the game on a 10-0 run.
• This was the third close game where the Aztecs have won by ending the game on a scoring run: Southeastern Louisiana (18-3), Portland (10-3) and UC San Diego (10-0).
Abby Prohaska (Liberty Township, Ohio) scored a career-high 23 points while shooting 9-for-15 from the field.
• During SDSU's win streak they are holding opponents to 44.8 points and have an average margin of victory of 27.7 points.
• The Aztecs have held their opponents under 55 points in their last six of their last seven games.
• The Aztecs are top 15 in the nation and lead the Mountain West in points allowed (11th, 50.0) and FG% defense (14th, 33.4%).
• SDSU has scored at least 30 points in the paint in six of their last seven games.
• The Aztecs are holding opponents to 10.8 points in the fourth quarter.
• SDSU's seven wins are tied for 10th-most in the nation. They trail only UNLV (7-0), last year's regular season and tournament champions, in the Mountain West standings.
• Yummy Morris (North Little Rock, Arkansas) is the reigning Mountain West Player of the Week. She had a season-high 19 points against Seattle. On the week averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds & 3.0 steals per game while shooting 65 percent (13-for-20) from the floor.
• Sophia Ramos (San Antonio, Texas) is one of three players in the nation with at least 1,600 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists in her career.
• Ramos is in the top five in program history in seven statistical categories including made points (4th), threes (4th), assists (4th) and made free throws (5th).
• Mercedes Staples (Centerville, Utah) is shooting 42.1 percent from three on the year and 38.6 percent in her SDSU career, good for second in program history. She is second in Mountain West in made threes (16) and three-point percentage (.421).
Abby Prohaska (Liberty Township, Ohio) is one of six players in the nation shooting 100 percent (21-21) from the free throw line (minimum 2.5 makes per game).
Kim Villalobos (Los Angeles) had a career-high seven assists against Seattle last Friday. She was the first Aztec in five years, and only the sixth in the Mountain West era. to have at least seven made field goals, seven assists and three steals.
• Since the beginning of last year, the Aztecs are 16-5 inside Viejas Arena.
 
So Much Depth
• SDSU has six players in their fifth year of college and 10 of their 13 scholarship players are upperclassmen.
• The Aztecs have 10 players averaging 15 or more minutes per game and none playing more than 31.
• SDSU has five players averaging between 9.0 and 12.0 points per game.
• The Aztecs have already had eight players score in double-digits.
• SDSU has used four different starting lineup combinations and eight different players have started.
• Seven Aztecs average between 4.0 and 6.0 rebounds.
• Three different players have had a double-double (Khylee Pepe, Abby Prohaska and Kim Villalobos).
 
Opponent Notebook (San Francisco)
• The Dons are 6-2 on the year.
• They went 17-16 last year and 10-8 in the WCC.
• They have won four games in a row with an average margin of victory of 18.8 points.
• They are coming off a 72-49 win at CSUN.
• They are 5-2 at home this year, although Sunday's game is considered a neutral site contest despite being just four miles from the USF campus.
• Ioanna Krimili leads the WCC with 17.4 points per game and her 25 made threes is eighth in the nation.
• Kennedy Dickie averages 9.2 rebounds per game and has three double-doubles.
• Jessica McDowell-White averages 4.5 assists per game and has an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.4.
• The Dons lead the WCC in field goal percentage defense (.359), rebounds per game (45.0) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.07).
• They commit 18 fouls per game.
• Head coach Molly Goodenbour is in her seventh season at USF. She has over 250 wins in her collegiate coaching career.

• The Aztecs are 3-4 all-time against San Francisco.
• They last played Dec. 1, 1999, a 67-58 USF win in San Francisco.
