SAN DIEGO – The Aztecs host Antelope Valley Saturday at 1 p.m. and Southeastern Louisiana Tuesday at 6 p.m.
 
Aztec Tidbits
• There will not be a video stream for either of the next two games. There will be an audio-only broadcast with Chris Ello on the call.
• SDSU knocked off San Diego Christian 81-30 in their home opener Tuesday.
• Five players scored in double-digits, led by Mercedes Staples and Sophia Ramos' 16.
Khylee Pepe recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and a personal best 13 rebounds.
• Alex Crain had seven steals, the most by an Aztec in a game since Dec. 19, 2013 (Ahjalee Harvey vs. Miami Ohio). Crain had five steals in 226 minutes last year.
• SDSU had 27 steals, their most in a game in the Mountain West era (2000-present).
• It was the first time SDSU has held a team to 30 points or less since 2015, also against San Diego Christian (60-25).
• This was the Aztecs' largest margin of victory since Dec. 18, 2007, a 91-33 win over Navy.
• SDSU is in a stretch of six straight home games.
• The Aztecs have started four players in their fifth year of college and a junior in each of their first two games.
Meghan Fiso has made four field goals in each of the first two games, which is a career-high.
• The Aztecs received votes in the preseason USA Today Coaches poll.
• The Aztecs have six players in their fifth year of college and 10 of their 13 scholarship players are upperclassmen.
• Fifth year senior Sophia Ramos (San Antonio, Texas) is one of three players in the nation with career totals of at least 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists. Of that trio, she is the only one with at least 100 made three-pointers.
• Ramos is in the top 10 in program history in nine statistical categories and in the top five in six, including made threes (4th), points (5th), assists (5th) and made free throws (5th).
• Point guard Asia Avinger (Cerritos, Calif.) was named to the Mountain West All-Freshman Team last season after averaging 12.0 points and 3.9 points, which was tops among all MW freshmen.
• Avinger was one of four freshmen in the nation to average at least 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
• SDSU returns three starters (Avinger, Ramos & Staples) and seven letterwinners from a year ago. They are bringing back 74% of their scoring and 89% of their assist contributions.
• Last year, SDSU set a school record by committing just 12.87 turnovers per game.
• SDSU has five newcomers. Transfers Sarah Barcello (Marist), Yummy Morris (TCU), Abby Prohaska (Notre Dame) and Adryana Quezada (Utah State) and freshman Jaida Brooks (PHH Prep). Quezada, an All-Mountain West selection last year, will redshirt the 2022-23 season.
• San Diego State was predicted to finish in fifth place in the preseason Mountain West poll, which tied for their highest under Head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson.
• The Aztecs had four players average double-digits points last year and return three of them in 2022-23 (Avinger, Ramos & Staples). That was just the second time in the Mountain West era (1999-present) that the Aztecs had four players averaging 10 or more points.
• Other letterwinners returning in 2022-23 are Alex Crain, Meghan Fiso, Khylee Pepe and Kim Villalobos.
• SDSU went 10-5 at home last year, their most home wins and best home winning percentage since the 2012-13 season.

• The University of Antelope Valley, not to be confused with Antelope Valley College, is in Lancaster, Calif. They are a NAIA school that plays in the California Pacific Conference.
• The Pioneers are 2-1 on the year with wins of Life Pacific (76-42) and Hope International (80-79).
• They lost to Southern Oregon 65-56 on Thursday.
• They went 7-19 last year with a 1-9 record on the road.
• Krystin Allen averaged 19.0 points per game last year.
• Kellymar Ramirez averaged 9.7 rebounds per game last season.
• Head coach Deon Price is in his sixth season with the program.
• This is the first ever meeting with Antelope Valley
 
Opponent Notebook (Southeastern Louisiana)
• Southeastern Louisiana is in Hammond, La., which is about 45 miles east of Baton Rouge.
• The Lions play in the Southland conference.
• They are 1-0 with a win over 73-27 LSU-Alexandria.
• They play at Utah State Friday and then at Utah Sunday.
• They went 16-11 last year with a 10-4 record in conference.
• Head coach Ayla Guzzardo is in her sixth year with the program. She has led the Lions to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1996.
• This is the first ever meeting between the Aztecs and Lions.
• SDSU is 8-1 all-time against teams from the Southland conference.
