LARAMIE, Wyo. – San Diego State cross country finished 10th at the 2022 Mountain West Championships on Friday morning at the Jacoby Golf Course. Zala Sekavcnik crossed the tape first for the Aztecs, leading the pack with a time of 24:51.3.

SDSU embarked on their first post-season race in Laramie, Wyoming and competed hard in a high altitude 6K race to secure a 10th place finish.

Sekavcnik was the first Aztec to cross the finish line. The freshman ran 24:51.3 to finish 76th overall out of 96 student-athletes who competed in the conference championships. Taylor Lustyan was the next Aztec to complete the course. She came in 83rd and posted a time of 25:31.9. Right behind her in 88th overall was Tatum Zinkin who finished the 6k course in 26:17.0, followed by Bella Peretti who finished in 26:17.1 in 89th place overall.

Maddy Parrone rounded out the scoring five for the Scarlet and Black with a time of 26:17.3, earning her a 90th place finish.
 
Also running on Friday was Nicole Meyer who came in 91st place with a time of 26:17.3.
