STANFORD, Calif. – The Aztec women's golf team finished the first round of the Stanford Collegiate Friday evening, finishing with a 301 (+17).
SDSU was led by Bernice Olivarez Ilas who shot a two-over-par 73, carding two birdies, 12 pars and four bogeys.
Anna Lina Otten was second among Aztecs, shooting a 75 (+4) aided by a pair of birdies which tied Olivarez Ilas and Anika Sato for a team-high.
April Ranches, coming off a career-best tournament, finished with a 75 (+5).
Sammy Lee shot a 77 (+6), finishing one stroke ahead of Anika Sato's 78 (+7)
Stanford, the host school, has the team 276 (-8) and individual lead after 18 holes, led by Rose Zhang's 66 (-5).
