SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego State football team will play Oklahoma in a future series, the two schools announced Thursday.
 
The Aztecs will first meet the Sooners on Sept. 18, 2027 in Norman, Oklahoma, before returning to Snapdragon Stadium to host OU on Sept. 1, 2029. The final game of the series will be Sept. 31, 2031 at Oklahoma.
 
The first meeting will be one of two for SDSU against a team from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) at game time during the 2027 season. San Diego State also plays host to Missouri on Sept. 11, 2027 following a game at Eastern Michigan on Sept. 3.
 
The Aztecs are 1-1 all-time against Oklahoma, including a 51-31 victory at home on Sept. 21, 1996. SDSU lost the first meeting to the then No. 14 Sooners, 38-22, in Norman on Sept. 9, 1995.
