TULSA, Okla. – On Saturday, the San Diego State men's tennis team played pre-qualifying matches in the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but were unable to break through, coming up short in each of its four matchups.

A recent transfer from Penn State, senior Chikaya Sato went up against Texas A&M's Stefan Storch. Sato went to a first-set tiebreaker, but was unable to win the set, and fell 7-6 (7-5), 6-1.

Johannes Seeman, a Pärnu, Estonia, native, faced Guillaume Dalmasso from Santa Clara University. After dropping the first set, Seeman won the second and then played the deciding third set to a tiebreaker, but was unable to complete the comeback, falling 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5).

Waiting until the afternoon to play, Bora Sengul drew Nebraska-Omaha's Mikhail Korkunov. Sengul started out hot, taking the first set and sending the second one to tiebreaker, but was bested in the third and lost 4-6, 7-6, (7-4), 6-1.

After going a perfect 3-0 in last weekend's Silverado Invitational, Alexander Mandma faced off against Drake's Evan Fragistas. The Aztec claimed the first set but fell in the following two with a final score of 2-6, 6-1, 6-3.
