SAN DIEGO – Senior Chikaya Sato, juniors Johannes Seeman and Bora Sengul and sophomore Alexander Mandma will represent the San Diego State men's tennis team in pre-qualifying singles play on Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2, at the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Okla.

The top half of pre-qualifying singles players and doubles players will compete in the qualifying rounds on Monday, Oct. 3, and Tuesday, Oct. 4.

A Penn State transfer, Sato won two of his three singles matches in his debut for the Scarlet and Black at the Battle in the Bay Qualifying earlier this month.

Sengul, who also transferred to The Mesa from Penn State this year, earned victories in all three of his singles matches in last weekend's Silverado Invitational.

After being named to the All-Mountain West team for singles last season, Seeman opened the Fall 2022 season by winning his first two matches to make it to the quarterfinals in the Battle in the Bay Qualifying.

Making his season debut in the Silverado Invitational, Mandma paced the tournament in total wins, going 3-0 in both singles and doubles.
