Aztecs Compete in Silverado Invitational

SAN DIEGO – Juniors Andre Saleh and Bora Sengul and sophomores Mathieu Josserand and Alexander Mandma will represent the San Diego State men's tennis team Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25 in the Silverado Invitational at the Silverado Resort and Spa, in Napa, Calif.

Saleh, who transferred to SDSU last Spring, made his debut for the Scarlet and Black last weekend, in the Wildcat Invitational. He won his consolation third place singles match in the Tucson, Ariz., event, and teamed up with Josserand in doubles.

Sengul transferred to The Mesa from Penn State this year and last weekend, won a singles and a doubles match in the Battle in the Bay Qualifying in Berkeley, Calif. 

In his first tournament as an Aztec, Josserand, like Saleh, won his singles consolation third place match in last weekend's Wildcat Invitational.

Mandma finished with a winning record in tournament and conference play last season and will be making his 2022-23 debut this weekend.
