LONG BEACH, Calif. – San Diego State women's soccer scored two goals in the final eight minutes to earn a 2-2 draw at Long Beach State on Thursday evening at George Allen Field. Denise Castro tallied her fourth of the season, and Trinity Coker scored her first collegiate goal to earn the Aztecs a 2-2 draw.
 
With the Aztecs trailing 2-1 in the 87th minute Castro picked up the ball in space, laid the ball off to Coker outside the box, who then rifled a shot into the top left corner of the net and past the Long Beach keeper to earn the Aztecs the 2-2 draw.  The goal was Coker's first career collegiate goal.
 
Earlier in the match, Long Beach State took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break when they went ahead courtesy of Summer Laskey. Long Beach State would then add to their lead in the 59th minute when Felicia Jastre Hogberg doubled LBSU's advantage.
 
San Diego State then clawed their way back into the match over the course of the final 30 minutes. The Aztecs fired off nine shots in those final 30 minutes, and it paid dividends. Castro, who earned Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week last week, earned one back for the Aztecs in the 83rd minute. Olivia Sekimoto picked off a pass in the attacking third, played a ball across the box to Castro who fired into the empty net.
 
Coker would then go on to score her first collegiate goal in the 87th minute to earn the Aztecs the 2-2 draw.

The Note II: Freshman Logan Nidy earned her first career start on Thursday night.
